ow to Defrost Your Midea MDRT134
According to the official Midea Appliance User Guidelines, you should defrost the freezer compartment whenever the ice or frost buildup exceeds 5 mm in thickness.
• Turn off and unplug: Disconnect the refrigerator from the wall power outlet for safety.
• Empty the unit: Remove all food items from both the fridge and freezer compartments. Place perishables into an insulated cooler box to prevent spoiling.
• Collect the water: Place towels or a shallow tray at the base of the freezer and inside the fridge floor to absorb the melting ice.
• Let it melt naturally: Keep both doors wide open. Do not use sharp metal objects or knives to scrape the ice, as this can easily puncture the internal cooling walls. A plastic scraper can be used gently if needed.
• Dry and restart: Once fully melted, wipe the interior completely dry with a towel. Plug the unit back in, and allow it to cool down for 2 to 3 hours before reloading your food.
