Defrost TMF MDRT187 187L（Gross）

How to Manually Defrost Your MDRT187

Because this unit operates on a manual defrost framework rather than a frost-free cycle, frost will naturally accumulate over time on the freezer walls. Follow these steps to clear it safely:

• Power Off: Safely unplug the refrigerator's power cord from the wall outlet.

• Empty Contents: Remove all food items from both the freezer and fridge compartments. Place perishables in a cooler box or wrapped bags to keep them cold.

• Keep Doors Open: Leave both doors completely wide open to allow the ambient room temperature to naturally melt the built-up ice layer.

• Manage Water Drainage: Place thick towels or shallow trays at the base of the freezer section to catch the melting ice runoff.

• Avoid Sharp Objects: Never use sharp metallic knives, screwdrivers, or chisels to scrape off ice chunks, as these can easily puncture the delicate evaporator coils and permanently ruin the cooling system. If necessary, you may use a soft plastic scraper.

• Dry and Restart: Once the ice is entirely melted, wipe the interior thoroughly dry with a clean cloth, plug the unit back into the power source, and let it cool for about an hour before restocking your food
